Sorry about that. Misread it. But I'm still confident James Brown was not one of the first artists to conceive a studio album that wasn't treated as a comp

I think we got off on the wrong foot, honestly this thread was made because beatles and drake stans triggered me

I grew up with black music (Black disco, soul, R&B and pop) so I'm not too knowledgeable on the origins of rock

I was always taught by the older folks that James Brown, Aretha, Lil Richie, Miles Davis, Fats Domino etc were the original trendsetters for music

In rock or all genres ? I can see it being big in rock but I grew up with Soul, R&B, hip hop and african/american disco

It's too much to read but did it influence those genres as well or was it just rock ?

In all genres man. Stuff like sampling and ADT all began with early help from the Beatles

They definitely were...especially Miles Davis holy s***. I feel like KTT always makes everything about race though. When people denounce Elvis as the "King of Rock" and that modern dance music was invented by blacks, I will definitely agree. But when it comes to cold hard facts that a white guy actually did pioneer something within the industry, there is no need to make an argument about racial discrimination when it's proven otherwise.

What kind of stuff are you into? Personally I'm not a fan of their sound pre-1966 because it just sounds like your typical 60s pop band.

However from the album Rubber Soul on is where their music starts to get really special.

MJ sold out this stadium 7 nights in a row

MJ had 72,000 in attendance on July 16, 1988, when 1D performed at the venue on they had 78,000 in attendance and that was "sold out" for three nights in a row.

72,000 in attendance for 7 nights in a row is crazy.
