Nice to see that my estimation of Switch hardware sales was spot on! My prediction was that it'd be at 84 million, and they reported 84.59. The numbers are as of March 31, 2021, so I would think it's at 85 today, and their official forecast for this fiscal year (which lasts until March 31, 2022) is currently to sell 25 million units. Nikkei said 30 mill, but that's not official, at least not at this moment. Perhaps after they announce the Switch revision they'll up the forecasts by a few milli.

now Bayonetta 3 will be on the even MORE mature side of things and she's not as iconic, classic or as marketable as the colorful Samus Aran but the niche cult fan base + Nintendo's push will guarantee at least 10-15 million sales for sure

talking Nintendo properties that arent Zelda, Mario or Pokemon, both Metroid and Bayonetta are way more popular and globally more known than Xenoblade tbh but a 3D Donkey Kong AAA or a Diddy Kong Racing sequel or remake would outsell them all

i 100%'d that game 5 times in my life just because of the evolutions, hidden paths and other secrets, plud the Mew final boss

and there’s more than that, all the Pokémon have 4 different actions/poses that you can find or trigger and have to photograph to get the photo book completed

and once you get all 4 types for all 214 Pokémon there’s still more if you want a bonus challenge you can try to get diamond rank on all photos which is not as easy as it sounds lol

if i knew the main point was taking 4 different photos of the same Pokemon i probably wouldve skipped this one

the main goal in the original was finding all Pokemon, finding all the signs, and capturing a photo of Mew

all they had to do was keep that going with the game they have now (besides the Mew part) and nobody wouldbe complained at all
