Literally the perfect game to release while in quarantine. It’s time consuming with no real end to it. And a game everyone can play.

with over 13 million sales of Animal Crossing in such a short amount of time a paid DLC must be right around the corner as Nintendo will want to milk the hell out of that cash cow

The only times Mario Kart was not a dominating force was Super Circuit on the Gameboy Adavance as that system was a Pokémon machine and the original Super Mario Kart. which makes sense.

I’ve put so many hours into MK8 with Wii U and now Switch it’s crazy. That’s essentially 6 years with one game and I still play it time to time.

Mario Kart is the most easily accessible, mainstream title, with broad appeal to kids, adults, non-gamers, etc.

Zelda is obviously the best series. Their magnus opus is breath of the wild, an astounding feat with hundreds of hours of fresh content, hundreds of puzzles, and a breathtaking open world. And obviously ocarina of time is one of the most influential games of all time. It effected all 3d games from there out.

yeah this is a no-brainer, equating sales directly with the quality of the product does not make sense

My aunt and sister are my two family members who own a wii. They aren’t gamers but they got the wii. Their only games are Mario kart and wii sports (which wii sports was the included free title)

I think a lot of non gamers everywhere have a wii and Mario kart, it’s just like a go-to buy for non gamers

Princess Nokia plays switch on her ig stories, the only game I’ve ever seen her play is Mario kart and I’ve followed her for years cuz I’m a huge fan

Is Zelda even better than Mario?

Sure most people might put BOTW over any Mario game but as a series as a whole I think people might pick Mario.

Zelda is a great series but I personally feel Nintendo has a lot of better franchises.
