Probably the best combat system of last gen. Still easily one of the best to this day. Once you play it, you'll find that all other games are lacking, especially when it comes to big boss fights. The story is lack luster, but serviceable. Once you understand it, it's not bad, but poorly executed.

There is a thing called Rift/pawn system, that will serve as your companions through out the game. You can dump em though if you wanna go solo a la Dark Souls. But the pawn you have is customizable fully to your desire. You pick out the skills and class you want it to be. It gradually "learns" things and memorizes pathways as you progress through the game. For example, if you and your pawn are playing as the same class, it will pick up on how you play the class, and mimic how you play the class, to suit you. You can rent other peoples pawns via the rift online, and add them to your party. So like if you rent a pawn that has done a quest you haven't done, or fought a monster you haven't it can act as a guide and show you hidden paths potentially, and if you're fighting a monster its fought before it will know how to fight it more effectively than your own.

The game has a lot of absolutely great concepts and mechanics in it. A sequel is sorely needed so that they can further refine it. As far as being 30fps on switch, uhh, that sorta stuff doesn't ruin games for me personally. I gamed on a s***ty laptop for so long when I was younger that it doesn't phase me. But from reviews I've seen of the switch version there can be a lot of pop in, especially when its in handheld mode. Some of the spells and effects of skills might be a lot for it to handle.

i loved 5 despite it falling into the action-y genre re wasn't supposed to head for, but you'd might f*** with RE4 alot it still holds up to this day in replay value.
