Ice spice growth has been crazy, can’t do anything but be happy for her
like...🙄
also @dedication stay strong i fwu we the barbs of ktt2
Imagine acting like that at the met gala…cardi tried to embarrass nicki ended up getting her ass beat by rah ali lmaoo
Nicki could have handled that herself instead of sending her weedcarrier tho.
It’s definitely not a dub for Nicki in any way.
My prediction: this is career suicide for Ice Spice but Nicki will treat her better than the other female rapper competitors because she's making money off her vs having to compete with Cardi and Megan
I think it will either will push her to be a better artist, tho I do fear that it is career suicide in the sense of.....I can't see Nicki fr passing on the throne like that/doing it to be able to hold back her records, though idk it really could be the best thing since Nicki really could develop Ice to her full potential if she is being genuine.
When will rappers stop signing to other rappers
The exceptions have only proven the rule
care to expound? I'm genuinely curious on wym.
People sign multiple deals all the time, her being signed to one already don’t really make it different
Nicki’s label is listed on streaming on the new song, that means signed
Yeah I see now she's co-signed to like 4 labels lmfao

Most labels really only exist to help artists on the basis of providing an ethos that can get you placements easier
Being independent doesn’t mean this stuff is impossible but you don’t have a machine behind you that can signal to things like radio, award shows, magazines, etc that you’re profitable and marketable
But having that machine behind you is also pretty bad in relation to an artist working along their self interests
Having an artist run label usually means there’s this sense of hierarchy that can f*** over and artist, but there ends up either being far more middlemen or, if the artist run label is independent, no way to get the clout of a major label
There are notable exceptions (Opium, Don Toliver, Dreamville) where label efforts are notably productive for artists. However, the dynamics behind these are so fundamentally different from actual labels that it kinda proves that the traditional label structure isn’t the best way to go anymore, and especially not if it’s artist run or some third degree subsidiary

thank you for taking the time, appreciate you
this could go either way
would be dope if this was a passing of the torch tho cuz not too many 2010s legends have done it
Why the f*** are they in a pink 2001 room
