Man I wish they won yesterday with the Braves losing last night. I’ll take the series but I would really love if this team racked up a good winning streak rn

Three games in Cincy next week I think imma put money on Pete hitting atleast one out each game

  • Jun 27, 2022

My work schedule f***ed me over imma have to finesse a couple games next month to make up for not being able to slide in June. Was tryna go to one each month atleast smh

  • Jun 29, 2022

Okay time to trade for a pitcher. This rotation would be way better with a sixth man. Put Peterson In the bullpen and get Shreve outta here

  • Jun 29, 2022

McNeil’s presence in this lineup is missed severely

For people who didn't watch who want some insight into how brutal this series was for the Mets -

6/21 - Chasen Shreve gives up 4 ER in one inning. Earlier in the game, with bases loaded and one out, Eduardo Escobar and our DH (Dom Smith) strike out, ending the threat.

6/22 - Carlos Carrasco gives up 5 ER in 2.1 IP of work. Later in the game, with bases loaded and one out, Eduardo Escobar and our DH (this time J.D davis) strike out to end the threat for the second straight night.

6/28 - Carlos Carrasco gives up 6 ER in 4.1 innings. Chasen Shreve gives up 3 ER in 0.1 innings. Again, the Mets leave the bases loaded, this time with two outs, on a Mark Canha ground out.

6/29 - Drew Smith ruins a great pitchers duel by giving up a 2-run HR TO A SUB .100 HITTER

I think you'll notice some recurring names.

Taijuan deserved a win. Offense has been s***, and I know it’s Verlander but when you have an opportunity to get to him like they did in the first you have to execute.

That one run wins the game. Could’ve had Diaz in the 9th instead of smith.

  • Jun 29, 2022

Numbers can be so deceiving the booth in the both we’re talking highly of Smith’s numbers coming in… then he blows it. The Mets need another deliver they can use in high leverage situations. It’s really only Diaz and maybe Ottovino?

s*** was a meatball man. had me tight, knew the game was over right there. if it was 0-0 still heading into the bottom of the 9th, I knew we were gonna win with the top of the order up to bat

exactly, just a shameful game. that was our opportunity to rattle him. I knew if he got out of that inning then the rest of the game was gonna be a breeze for him cause he'd settle in

I like Drew Smith but when he gives it a up he really gives it up. Not even like the Marlins walk off where you give credit to the hitter. It’s like pitching in MLB the show and just hitting the meter too early.

Not tryna give Inciarre a hard time but why tf as he starting over Canha before a day off? We could’ve used another bag today I mean I knows he’s been slumping but they all have smh

Not in Panic mode but the Mets have a historical tendency to simply lose games they should’ve won

I'm not losing sleep about not beating Houston. they just aren't built for that yet (and we've known it) and that's okay.

offense had a couple bad days against really really good pitching, it happens.

luckily we have plenty of bad teams ahead of us and plenty of games vs Braves

and our glaring holes (reliable relief pitching and a designated hitter worth a damn) are very fixable

I feel you and I agree but I just hate these type of losses, I think pulling this one out would’ve been good for this team. But can’t do anything about it now. On to the next

I think putting Peterson and Megil in the Pen once they get Jake and Max back… and they go and get a possibly a starter would def put the pen over the top.

Have them spot start to get them innings but also save the rotation a bit
