I’m glad they have today off, slide to Miami and get right back to winning.
yeah we should have at least 55 wins by the next time we play the braves. (that’s us playing against The Marlins > Astros > Rangers > Reds > Marlins > Braves
and I did us splitting the 2 games with the astros and winning 2/3 or 3/4 against the rest before the Braves

Three wins down, hopefully we can get back to seeing the offense consistently produce again
Not sold on Castillo yet but honestly I need to know what they would have to give up. It’s not like he’s having the greatest year rn and the Reds ownership is tanking I don’t thikk no they are trading to get real pieces yet
what contract would you guys be willing to offer Aaron Judge next offseason? he'll be 31 next april
Mets starting pitchers in 2021: 32 wins in 162 games.
Mets starting pitchers in 2022: 33 wins in 73 games.
Pete Alonso has 128 homers for the Mets, 22 this season. Alonso is behind Michael Conforto who had 132 homers. Darryl Strawberry hit 252 homers followed by David Wright who hit 242 homers for the Mets and Mike Piazza who had 220 homers. Of course Alonso would have had more homers if the 2020 season was not limited to 60 games.

Whatever he wants, that power won’t go away

Damn if Conforto didn’t s*** the bed last year and took the extension he had a chance to possible be atleast second all time homer, Pete’s gonna pass em all eventually
Stepped away at my job for one moment and came back to see them blow it
meh was bound to happen. offense was dead after the like 3rd inning. marlins play us hard every time, its annoying lol

im thinking a 6-7 year contract max. we gotta try to re-sign diaz, degrom and nimmo before judge imo

We have cohen, we will resign whoever we think is necessary + as long as we’re contending

I got used to McCann being gone I almost forgot he was on the team but he def reminded me today

Nigga ass, call up Francisco
Nigga ass, call up Francisco
I see them calling up maybe Baty before Francisco but it amazes me how much McCann struggles at the plate. It’s not like I was expecting Piazza but gahdamn.

Yeah I know, neither one getting called up this year. McCann has just been bad

our catchers all suck at the plate lmao. id reserve judgement on mccann for about a week or two just cause it was a broken wrist? or hand whatever. but anyways his defense is truly top notch, he'll catch somebody stealing a base and its clear that chris bassitt is A LOT more comfortable with him behind the plate. he has his pros and cons but his defense outweighs nido for sure. especially since our pitchers ERAs are a lot lower than with anyone else that has caught them

wonder what the front office is thinking regarding deGrom and his definite opt out for a new contract. hoping he stays healthy the rest of the year and is dominant so that we can optimistically give him a large contract

Yeah you’re right that’s the only reason why I wouldn’t necessarily want them to trade for a catcher but then again wit the DH they honestly could get a Wilson Contreras just for the bat.
It’s just that like I wouldn’t mind if he was like a LoDuca, a guy that just put the ball in play, ran into a homer every now and then. But when he’s struggling he’s dog s*** lol

Man they gotta give him the bag… I wanna say I don’t see Jake going anywhere else but the game is different. Players today are going to do what as best for them and their fam. Not mad at it all and with Cohen I worry about players walking
Mets have a lot of players from this core their gonna have to pay tho lol

Yeah that’s a big worry. I doubt we’ll give him a big contract if he can’t stay healthy for the rest of the reason and that could come back to bite us if he leaves and ends up being healthy. I think we’ll keep him though unless there’s another big time pitcher on the market the year he’s a free agent

nah yeah I hear you. it sucks that our 9 in the batting order is pretty much an auto out
