Og Juani agree with this tbh! If you ain't feeling dude's music anymore or doesn't satisfy the need you want, stop checking for him, i'm sure there are other artists out there for you.
Drake literally did an interview about how he make music from a 1st person experience, he doesn't know how to concoct stories that doesn't relate to his experiences.
every artists have there niche, subject matter and sound that is particular to their art. Just let the artist express themselves however they like. if you like the product and enjoy it and support, if not pick a song for your playlist or don't listen. simple!
Such a lazy take. Just because you have criticisms of an artist doesn't mean you don't want to check for their music anymore. If someone is your favorite artist you'd think you'd want them to get better and not stagnate but you are facilitating that by just being yes-fans.
What he said in that interview is a problem because if he claims he is one of if not the best rapper and a great songwriter than having such a limited subject matter to the point you can only talk about yourself makes that claim very questionable.
Every artist has a niche yes. No one is saying he should drop his usual subject matter entirely. These type of songs would be received better if he put out more songs that had totally different and creative subject matter. All it has to be is here and there not like he needs a whole project of it. But he doesn't even do that.
