    Only because he talked about being inspired by Life After Death when making a double album I just feel like with the Ready to Die intro it was all in the same lane and what he may have been going for last album.

    yeah but why would he do that on only one song? if that was the case, surely scorpion would have more of these ready to die references
    this production reminds me a lot of gold roses, which means it probably was produced by OZ, someone he's been closely working with on this album

    We know that he changed the album after the beef we don’t know what the original run of the album would’ve been. He told us from his mouth he was inspired by Biggie that album it not being referenced much is irrelevant. We also don’t know that he’s closely working with OZ this album it’s an assumption you guys have made but until the album comes out we don’t know that to be true.

    I should’ve said could be top ten. Obviously it’s not right now but it’s got the potential. Gives me a feeling from drake I haven’t had in a while even though I love all his new s***. Had the minute long snippet on repeat and now I’m gonna have this on repeat. And maybe I was a bit premature but I’m refuting about the song lol, it’s okay for people to enjoy things

    i don't think it's that much of an assumption, drake has made many OZ references, and Greece, Toosie Slide and a lot of other recent tracks have been produced by him

    Take Care: first single dropped June 28, album dropped November 15.

    Nothing Was the Same: first single dropped, February 6, album dropped September 24.

    Views: first single dropped July 31, album dropped April 29 the next year.

    Scorpion: first single dropped January 19, album dropped June 29.

    This may be the record that was talked on the complex article about the dark lane demo tapes release. They talked about another record coming from the camp where they produced losses and gold roses

    This is a better explanation. I understand people liking the song. People are free to like whatever. I just thought you saying it was a top 10 Drake song was crazy because it isn't and I doubt it has the potential to be, but it's cool if you think that.

    That's because it feels dated and that's not a good thing considering it's a recent song. The beat killed it for me. It's basic drum programming that Drake has used 50,000 times in the past. He doesn't really say anything in the first past and repeats the same line like 30 times. I liked the beat switch and the flow he used for the second part, but again, it wasn't anything special or something he hadn't done before.

    Vital and Not Around sounded special and fresh because they didn't sound like anything he's done before. Their production had a lot to do with that.

    Doesn't really matter. OZ might end up scoring only a handful of placements on Drake's album. Nothing is ever set in stone till the album drops. We should all know this by now when it comes to Drake. @BBeauty is right in that regard.

    The more tracks Drake makes like this the more they lose value to, the introspective songs are lyrically well written but follow the same formula & it’s getting stale

    I’m sorry but this simply just isn’t it, it’s not weak but there’s nothing special about it

    People saying it’s top 10 Drake when it’s literally not even top 30

    Introspective Drake isn’t even special anymore
