fr quadra so wack bro i bet he doesn't even know that In the very last chrous of Toosie Slide, while Drake is running away, there is 'no' scream in the background which feels like he doesn't want to he the 'heartless' anymore. So i asked if someone else feels in the same way. I live the same low life. D****/alcohol/casino and w****s, but in the end i want to escape from it, but pretend infront of others that i'm alright and it's all fun.
And listening to Toosie Slide/Popstar/Greece/Shape of You is like d**** (stimulants) expirience and if i'm the only one feeling it.

I feel like it isn’t a far fetched sentiment that drake has been losing steam. Greece and popstar didn’t really do numbers like that or took off really

Probably since demo tapes tbh that was probably the fulcrum to this shift in my opinion.

I think if this was the first we were hearing of drake in 2020 there would be so much more hype on the internet and irl

I think Demo tapes did more harm then good. People expected an album and many were left disappointed with the project
A lot of his releases this year have gotten lukewarm responses so it’s easy to understand why the average rap listener simply will wait for it to drop and check it out but that overwhelming demand for a drake song is no longer there

Other than Toosie slide, I don’t think I can name another song I thought would be a huge hit from him as soon as it dropped, and that’s not a slight to him lol he knows this and that’s why they’re throwaways he just threw on a tape or gave to Khaled, the real hits are for the album and I think we’ll see that tonight
