Apparently the Weeknd collab might be just for his new album and not Justice’s?
Thank goodness
That’s gotta be the worst set of Coachella headliners in the past decade.. wow.
They couldn’t get The Strokes?

I think Abel is talented and all, but almost every time I’m with my sister’s boyfriend, he plays his music around me and I grew tired of hearing his voice lmao
I hope whatever him and Justice make together ends up great though (just keep that s*** away from the latter’s new album ).
New snippet with what sound like tame impala
Sounds better than that other snippet imo but also kinda sounds like anything off their last 2 albums + tame impala on top

Well well - I like the sound of this new track innnn
Revisited Cross recently (after like a decade of not listening to it) thinking it would age like milk, but nope, it was a nostalgically-charged listen
But tell me what in the hell happened to Justice with their other two albums though

It’s a near-flawless record; I’m struggling to think up anything negative to say about it, other than the fact that it made it much harder for Justice to make a worthy follow-up.

I’m guessing he meant like sometimes the debut album is all it takes for a career to take off or something idk lmao
edit: oh I get what you mean now lol
But yeah, some artists are just one-album wonders sadly.. (ahem Mount Kimbie).

it might have even been a weeknd quote lol I can't find the source but I remember someone saying it
and it always stuck with me cause it makes sense to me you got this idea cooking in your head for 20-30 years then you finally get it out
and then it's like alright now I need to make something new and fresh in a few years for the first time
but yeah def happens, one hit albums

Yep, there’s always the common scenario of “okay what’s next?” that artists have to face after a breakthrough project, and with that comes the weight of pressure and expectations.
In Justice’s case, I truly admire them for not doing a Cross (Part 2), even though I didn’t jibe with the end result. It shows that their artistic integrity is still intact, and if you’re not on board with it then “oh well we finna keep doing what we want to do”.

You have your whole life to write your first album.

AVD was respectable, & has some of their best songs, it just wasn't Cross. I can't speak for Woman though it seemed like a half hearted revival though
