·1 replyThis might be fallout 5 because it was reported a year ago that production started and a team was moving forward but it wasn’t clear who it was because Bethesda is obviously busy with es6. With this current news, as well as Todd saying in 2021 that he wanted to potentially work with other teams to speed up fallout 5 production, I’m leaning towards that

the lead developer of new vegas, J Sawyer, is making this game as well so your point is kinda moot. He was the director, lead designer, and narrative designer. Maybe if they got some new guy I could see your point, but nah this is an ideal scenario.

Avowed and Outer Worlds 2 were forgettable af
Outer Worlds 2 is at 82 on meta and new Vegas was at 84 so their falloff is not as serious as you make it sound imo. Consensus seems to be they still have talent.
I enjoyed ow2 a lot even if it had flaws.
