When Donda said âyou need an angel to watch over to youâ I canât lie I shed a tear
Man the second half really hit. The parts with his mom are incredible
The interview with MTV
she worked at marketing tho lmao
At a music label not a chocolate factory.
âYou read everything? You understand it? And You agree to be bound to the terms of the agreement?â
Need footage of the Cash money recording deal also now
Itâs too bad itâs still politically incorrect to praise Kanye because you know celebs everywhere are loving this documentary so far.
Do you guys think this documentary series will go up to Yeezus era?
It stops before 808s and comes back to the Wyoming era because that's when Coodie and Ye reconnected
not tryna sound elitist or make you sound dumb, but your critiques sound like they're from someone who hasn't watched many (or any) documentaries before
I watched some , not a a lot.
Maybe you right
Scarface gave me a bad impression lol
How you just gonna cut Jesus walks like that lol
kanye asked him if he could write a verse
he listened and it didn't come to him on the beat so he said next. that's not disrespectful or anything
"Called it incredible" ye was gassed up
beautiful moment

Damn was hoping to see some of that legendary mdbtf footage
Damn was hoping to see some of that legendary mdbtf footage
Maybe for Ye's own documentary. Stuff from Yeezus era aswell
Amazing to see Kanye around all those stars at the time and knowing he surpassed all of them today
Surprised to see people hating on Coodie's parts. The alternative is some distant journalist putting together a bunch of Ye clips. This is his footage as well as Ye's, just look at how many times he's name checked by people in the clips. Makes it so much more personal and authentic.
The bit where Coodie's talking about how seeing Donda and Ye made him realise the influence his parents had on him was one of the most insightful parts.
This is laser focused on Ye but the little added bits from Coodie help make the doc about more than just Ye's story. That's what a good doc should do
Loved the Channel Zero segments
Would love a documentary about that s***
Seems cool as hell
Yall itt talking about âCoodie needs to shut up about his lifeâ are ignorant af
God forbid the man that gave us this doc gives us 10 mins of background on how he got to even be in that position of filming Ye
Really enjoyed Coodieâs commentary, especially at the very end. After essentially being a fly on the wall throughout all of that, he returns home to reflect on everything and starts finding meaning and purpose in his own life. I can only imagine what that mustâve felt like: to be around a future legendary artist like kanye everyday around so many contrasting personalities in the music industry in nyc at such a momentous and pivotal time in hip hop culture ⊠and then to return to the solace of his chicago childhood home to just contemplate it all. Really thankful for coodie and his commentary. Having ye tell his own story wouldâve been such a disservice imo
