JonboiIt could be raw footage from a friend but that don’t automatically make him a great editor, that don’t automatically mean he got the vision.
I like this doc, I just have some criticisms is all. I’d cut the narration. I wanted a lil more from from Kanye himself. I don’t even mean big moments, I just mean, funny, interesting, smoking a blunt moments. We got some of that, but the style here… it’s a lil conventional for an artist so bold.
That being said, I really like the doc, there’s some great moments, yes it humanizes Ye. It’ll be something I comfort watch most definitely.
He utilizes the method of making you feel like you’re there especially since he contextualizes who he (Coodie) is. They are all everyday Chicago dudes trying to make it.
