to be fair its coodie's film and perspective, and thats the years when kanye left him in the dust so it only makes sense
yeah bro was bitter as f*** lmao, Kanye dropped 808s, MBDTF (most acclaimed project of the 2010s), run the culture with WTT and Cruel summer, switched s*** up Yeezus, started his family, started a billions worth company by himself, had a fantastic 2015 with hit singles and run the culture again with 2016. Coodie skimmed through all that s*** and only focused on the negative stuff.
Should've definitely dove in more on LR imo wouldve liked 4 episodes or more CD/LR centered second episode instead of just CD. Seeing the footage of Game in the studio recording Crack Music, the Hey Mama sessions, Diddy in the studio etc.. was awesome.

I don’t know if he had much more footage from that era, but I agree
Gotta be real the last episode was painful to watch as a fan.
It’s obvious that maybe around TLOP era or even before that he really lost his way, and the past few years especially have been one giant, blurry, manic episode. I really hope he decides to take a few years away from music, fashion, media, eveything and clears his head. I’m worried about him, for real. ♥️
the pain you could see in ye's face as he was working fresh after his mothers death was brutal

He changed once the album was released haha, that’s life though
that’s kanye’s fault for not having him document all those good years. he didn’t have him back in the fold till he was in his f***ed up years
Facts.
He was acting funny in 2007, so in turn Coodie ain’t get the footage of Golden years
not really his fault they had a falling out.

i mean ye referred to it as a 7.5 hr documentary and wasn't there a rumor of a 9 hour extended edition?
we only got 4.5 hrs
Just watched ep 1.
The number of times his mom said his name
Donda really is the GOAT. God damn always uplifting him.

I imagine most of that is the absolutely massive amount of footage probably has pre CD and the CD-LR era
No bias at all. Hell he really went easy on him honestly which I appreciate considering how heartfelt the first two episodes are

Nah. Sure he was gassed up after the album but he had a clear shift in his persona in a more negative way after his mom passed

wasn't this the one Kanye posted on his official website?
vaulted
that I Feel Like That session is iconic footage my God
So was he planning to use it for post tlop as a remake?

Yeah it's what I don't like about this set up. 70% college dropout, 15% Late Registration, 10% 2015 and beyond, and 5% coodie.
It's a weird set up with pacing tbh.
The ksg recording sessions and trip to Murakami’s studio was such a positive vibe. Had to rewatch that part.
