Yeah I was one of those people that thought this but after episode 3 you can tell he wasn’t able to deal with the pressure of being big without a permanent support system around him like his mom. It’s also why he probably resented the OG Donda team like Virgil and Don at one point for doing their own thing cause he probably wanted them around forever. He isn’t around anyone that can properly keep him grounded unfortunately.
