MBTF and Yeezus era too iconic to be skipped over like that. I get Coodie wasn't around Ye during that time, but damn felt pretty jarring they were glossed over.
Yea the handling of the albums was honestly awful other than CD they didnt feel important at all
I see what he was going for with the dictionary game. How he described “excited” as negative was a stretch tho.
I do like that he clarified “I wasn’t saying that to correct you.”
Rick Rubin a real empathetic soul, you just know it.
They kept saying "i thought this was the end of the documentary but...." how was that ending the appropriate ending either tho?

Right

Cant blame rick for not tryna come by the ranch
HIM ON THE PHONE TALKING TO HIS DAD PULLING UP TO THE ARTIST’S STUDIO THAT MADE THOSE BOWLS.
This man’s life.
“I’m just saying, write your speech next time, Kanye.”
He got the line!
What a great thing to say.
Ye’s dad with the W. Stealth powerful moment.
Doc kinda made me realize that ye always was a psycho ☠️
He'd definitely be seen as a Nightcrawler/Joaquin's Joker type figure if he didn't make such amazing music. Walking around offices, putting your music on blast and performing while people are trying to work is pushy af
those meds during wyoming sessions had Ye looking cooked
red eyes and skeletor face
was weird
Justin Bieber not feeling the vibes lol he just wanting the first flight back to toronto
wondering what went wrong between the runaway love sessions to then
There won’t be another artist like ye for a while. No one in the last 20 years even comes close to this
Honestly which this took more of a Cherry Bomb documentary approach. Keep some of the extra s*** but also have a lot more recording/Kanye explaining how he thought of ideas for some of the beats and lyrics. We don't need to see them celebrating New Years Day 2004
This doco definitley went from a celebration of Kanyes career to the Downfall of Kanye
sad to see but some of the footage from the KSG / Wyoming sessions were cool
Can’t believe they skipped 808s, MBDTF, WTT, CS and Yeezus (arguably his most genius eras). They could’ve at least sourced visuals from whoever was recording during those eras. This doc was lopsided.
This doc is as much about coodie and ye’s relationship as it about ye himself.

That New Years footage was needed. Him celebrating New Years with his friends and family right before he drops his debut album that will change his life forever
Had to fast forward the coodie stuff
