This is not bad. Not going to be too harsh on this because it’s a blessing we even get something like this in 2025, but compared to some of the other legacy albums that dropped it falls a bit short. Still cool though

Writers is great, I expect a song about breakdancing at some point now

This is a quintessential Nas album

I don’t think the album is bad but it’s aight from strangely poorly sequenced? It really gets better to the middle of the album but after the first several tracks it’s easy to get underwhelmed

Like I think if you lead off with a It’s Time, My Life is Real, Welcome to the Underground, Git Ready, Madman the energy flows differently off the jump and you can play around with the rest

That one thing I gotta give Nas & Hit especially on Magic & KD3 just some of the best sequencing Nas had on an album to help it flow and tracks build off each other

i'll give my take once i listen but seems like a typical internet reaction for a 7 out of 10 album

IMO it’s just people judging off a single listen when they’re expecting something different. The production isn’t an obvious choice and isn’t anything like his classic 90’s Nas stuff, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad. In fact it’s really really good

Some of it might grow on me but hardcore og Nas fans been trying to pressure him and Premier to make an album for the longest.

kinda decent album it really picked up in the second half, sons was my favorite off first listen

that song where he was calling himself the crypto scarface gotta be one of the worst nas songs tho

dont get it f***ed up tho them hit boy x nas albums still suck
