imagine caring about charts as long as radio has a part in them, completely artificial
Im sure radio play kept it 66 days(and counting) on top of the spotify global charts lmfao
Lol the scotts is still #6 on the global charts but since global streams have nothing to do with the hot 100 don’t see how that’s relevant.

Blinding lights has been in the top 5 of spotify US charts and AM for the past two months please give me a break

Lol obviously u took that as a shot at blinding lights. Weeknd one of my fav artist so no shot at him was just saying his song fell 42 spots after its debut travis song fell 11 spots. That doesn’t mean they don’t have longevity just the way that people consume music doesn’t have a lasting effect on the hot 100 until the radio play kicks in.

Yeah it didn’t come back until it became a radio darling and the album push

THIS
Travis is smart but I'm surprised he doesn't use radio deals with his singles. If he did it would prevent the sort of collapses we've seen.
Kendrick Career Trajectory: Let’s Discuss
RosettaStone
Apr 22
Drops OD (fire, starts gaining traction getting people attention)
Drops Section.80 (fire, now he really poppin we ready for the debut excited af)
Drops GKMC (classic, it’s outta here, got the drake feat and everything, he’s up next if he continues, mind you section 80 and GKMC are released within 1.5 years)
Then when world needs him most he vanishes like the avatar
Comes back 3 years later with TPAB (generally unlistenable no matter how many intellectual words you want to use)
Year later he follows it up with untitled unmastered (won’t even speak on this cuz it speaks for itself)
After he realizes he’s murdered his fan base, starts doing random horrendous pop collabs and songs
Year later comes with meh attempt at a pop crossover album DAMN where he tells people be humble and sit down
Vanishes again afterwards for nearly 3 years
He’s regarded as the end all for rap but I just don’t see it with this timeline. What am I missing?

It's units are going to be like 90% streaming, he'd have to do over 270 million streams to reach 230k. Realistically, especially with streaming taking a hit from the quaratine, I see him doing 180 million streams and 15k pure with bundles.
