Ok so my theory about why my gen and under look at cigs differently than previous gens

Mainstream pop culture decided (around 2015, correlating with the blm movement) that it was cooler than ever to be black and embrace black culture (including blacks who were removed from "typical" blackness but now wanna listen to hip-hop and say nigga)

As a result, young people looked at cigs as being white, which is the opposite of being cool

Every person my age or my younger brother's age now look at cigs differently and will roast people for smoking them

This was not the case years ago

I still do see white kids smoke actually

i smoke backwoods

But even just now with brrb

Equating cigs with being uncool was not a thing when I grew up, and didn't become a thing till I got to high school

used to get bullied in middle school for the way i smell
