I think I see what you mean. if it's good enough to entertain me then that's good entertainment. I don't go to entertainment like this to seek profundity the same way I dont listen too weezy's raps for their literary excellence... however a part of me tries to with certain music although I feel that may cross the barrier from entertainment on to something else I dare not speculate.

Anyways, I believe profundity can be found on surface level and so it's not even necessary to dig into 14th century novels or critically acclaimed films/shows to stumble upon it. And what appears as profound to one person may be superficial to others, vice versa.

I feel the mistake here is to assume those who do see substance in something you don't are merely fooled. And so gems can be found through discussion

I think Euphoria for the most part is more accurate than most other shows in terms of portraying that kind of high school scenario.

Are there still things that are dramatized because it’s television? Yes. But it is has a lot of merit imo.

Season 1 was pretty good to me besides the ending of the last episode. I think Season 2 should be able to improve upon that though. I’m hopeful.
