They just didn't like the P hooks on the album, not necessarily P as an artist or his production

The Mobb Deep album blowing every other Mass Appeal release out of the water this year.
the big L is such a wild card. if they can produce it like they did for the mobb deep here and make sound like a real album it may surprise the f*** out of everyone because we all know there are no bad big L verses so if had a bunch of s*** in the vault im very excited what it could be

The beats on this one are great but there's not really anything on this blowing me away the same way that So Be It or FICO did. But ultimately, there's 2 different goals in mind. One album is a revival of a group and bringing them up to speed in the current space and the other is a swan song allowing Mobb Deep to go out on their terms as a group.
This one is very good, but it doesn't touch the highs of the Clipse album, even if that one has lower lows with P.
Lyrics alone pushed Clipse over this Mobb Deep album. I think Havoc and Alchemist needed to knock the production out of the park but decided to settle a bit
Cons:
Clipse - big feature names, weak deliveries.Mobb Deep - really weak choruses lol. Good not great production

feel like only mobb deep can get away with these type of hooks. cause typically i would agree that these were weak but somehow worked and were dope imo

all good, been there. it was ok. little underwheming imo. was short and didn't get as much storytelling as i would of liked to hear but it was good to hear his voice and style in 2025. he definitely still has it

lol yeah he def has the cheesy bars at times but somehow can still pull it off, at least better than most with his sound and delivery
Oct 10, 2025·edited·3 repliesThis was surprisingly good. I really wonder what eras these Prodigy verses were from because clearly most of them weren't the newest version of P before he passed. Havoc sounded like current form on most and Nas sounded from like Nastradomus or early 2000's.
