Yall act like approaching MBJ/Delroy and saying a quick "Im sorry you know I didn't mean that" is the hardest thing in the world to do? I guaranteed MBJ/Delroy wouldve showed grace and kept it pushing.

Is it bad that I’m wondering to myself why he didn’t use other slurs, or shout them at non-Black people? Still learning about Tourettes but I asked Claude about this to get a bias-free answer:

“It’s a pretty natural thing to wonder, and it’s actually a question that gets at something real about how Tourette’s and coprolalia work. The short answer is that tics, while involuntary, aren’t entirely random. Research suggests they’re often shaped by what a person’s brain has flagged as the most forbidden or taboo thing to say in a given context. So in a way, the brain almost “homes in” on what would be most socially catastrophic to blurt out — which is part of why coprolalia so often involves slurs or sexual language rather than just random words. There’s also a contextual trigger component. Davidson himself acknowledged that stress, crowds, and heightened emotion amplify his tics. When Jordan and Lindo — two prominent Black men — walked on stage, his brain may have latched onto the most charged word associated with that moment. It’s not that he harbors racist beliefs that are “leaking out” — it’s more like his brain found the most explosive possible word for that specific stimulus.”

Anyone else know a better response to it than this?

    poor eyesight

and before they say "he would've yelled it again"

there are plenty of other ways to reach out besides a face to face

I feel like the amount of people saying he straight up shouldn't say sorry are very very few. but explaining tourettes or getting into how their brains work is being misread as excusing slurs, justifying anti blackness or thinking he shouldn't say a word on this. the dude has been saying sorry to people after outbursts his entire life, he should have no issue doing it here

And Im not even of the belief that he shouldn't be there or placed in a separate room like some think. I mean he was there to get an award right? So I wouldnt want his moment ruined either.

With that said, you have to compromise, and if that means giving a simple apology to the people you offended, that isn't asking for much. Thats literally the bare minimum.

This is what I'm wondering cus people are acting like he has to lift the world on one finger just to say "Sorry, my condition made me say those disgusting things I'm so sorry"

And I feel like a lot of people would easily accept his apology and hand-wave this s*** away
