Yea i saw it as a kid and it always stuck with me been wanting to rewatch it as well
It's great to see in the world we live in with all the negative stuff going on this film giving a chance to go out and have fun and celebrate the greatest to ever do it
...just a shame for that person that got hit that MJ wore and threw a hat
there were times in the movie where I deadass had to remind myself that ain’t Mike
when he was in the studio with Quincy recording Thriller
Honestly lays the groundwork for the darker stuff too, in a way that had to be intentional. Like it sets itself up for a layup if you read between the lines; the movie should've gone deeper in many different respects but idk if "sanitized" is the correct word for it
I expect the 2nd movie to be pretty good if they keep the momentum from where this ends
It's MJ. Only time it is actually that serious
These blue tick pages are always such slop. He didn’t greenlight anything. The linked article is just a re-iterating of what the Lionsgate boss said last week where he said "Look, there's at least one more movie”

they gotta rerelease this with the director's cut because the criticism that the film is too short/sanitised is completely valid but not sure how viable it is due to legal issues

Yeah a lot of people didn't want to be associated with being portrayed as "starting"/being a part of something potentially damaging
Movie is perfect on its own. If people want content on the allegations they can go seek that out in many different forms already

It'd be good to show the truth on a major scale but it's going to make for a very uncomfortable film
also feel like this needs to be seen for the first time in imax or dolby
the sound in this amplified the soundtrack sooo much and it felt like the closest thing to a concert

That’s kinda what I worry about. I don’t think the movie should show us any side specifically. Allow us the viewer to make the fact or fiction guilty or not guilty verdict. The movie shouldn’t be slanted one way or another, and I don’t expect anyone to pull that subtly off given how media on Michael gets processed and produced

I think one of the issues is the 2005 trial was actually so weak they were laughed at in court
If you present as is it's almost not going to be believed
93 is not happening
Find it interesting the Lionsgate CEO said as a concept it could be a film series so not even just one sequel
