I mean, Bohemian Rhapsody got a higher score. Once time passed and things mellowed out, pretty much everyone agreed it was alright at best, and bad at worst.

The concert scenes were absolutely unbelievable. The Motown 25 scene is legit like woah. Human nature sounded 1:1. Kid Michael in the studio singing a Smokey song was outstanding too.

I enjoyed it, biggest critique was the amount of Joe Jackson scenes maybe 35% less was needed. I’ll also say that the central arc for him in the movie was good and appropriate, it just needed a different type of flow. Maybe a common setting of him in the studio making the songs and dealing with breaking out from his dad.

Music is insane and worth admission alone.

Nah.. If it was a B then majority of MJ fans would have disappointed as hell.

My point with my initial post was that some ppl are pointing to Audiences Scores and Box Office Projections as a
“Hah! Suck it critics and haters” gotcha

But the audience scores is often the opposite extreme, and just fans fluffing up the score. Especially when its a movie about something that already has an established fanbase.

I don’t think the critic score invalidates the opinions of ppl who like a film. But it looks kinda silly whenever fans point to audience scores as proof that “haters” are wrong

I will continue to celebrate those f***ing bullshit reviews getting dunked on by the actual paying audience, and you can continue crying about it
