Financially, it was bad. AEG & awful business “advisors” had MJ backed into a inescapable corner, the pay structure for the TII shows at the 02 was diabolical - every 10 shows he’d get paid - if they thought he was good enough

If MJ didn’t perform/fulfil he lost his catalogue and the Sony ATV deal too

When ppl say he was killed.. this is what they mean. They squeezed the life out of him for $$ as had happened his entire life

Certain parts of the movie are probably fake but I know AEG had many meetings with MJ (one of the AEG execs admitting to hitting MJ before the 02 press conference in an email at the time, only seen once they got taken to court) screaming in MJs face saying they pay for everything down to the toilet paper he wipes his ass with.. despicable

But then you have probably the most chronic insomniac in human history who when completely sedated is taped saying all he wants to use the money for is the vulnerable children suffering in their childhood just like he did

We’ll probably never know the truth about what they did to him but it wasn’t pretty - we know that much. The weekend after MJ passed (he died on the Thursday) the shows director (Kenny Ortega - worked with MJ for years & on high school musical) was meeting with AEG execs trying to work out how to recoup the money & put the film together. MJs autopsy wasn’t even finished. Disgusting. I could rant for days lol I’ll stop here

I need to watch. I know MJ wanted him for this is it but they told him no & got MB who didn’t know MJs music for s***, you see that in the movie going thru The Way You Make Me Feel at center staging (MJ in the black blazer)

Sad what they did to him really n holy s*** wow it been f*** Sony sense day one but I'll reiterate F*** sony i remember hearing that story Michael told about him being held in like a room at the jail or police station where they kept him in there for hours n humiliated him n something to do with human s*** so evil dude was a kid in a grown mans body but people are so quick to judge n not read into s***

Yeah Billie Jean is almost completely dubbed with the home demo vocals. Same with a few other songs.

I think but could never confirm that the silhouette on the poster is an impersonator & not a real image of MJ

The week that after literally like 18 years I become re-obsessed with Can You Feel It and make it one of my personal study songs for creating, that anniversary pops up. On god when I break through if anything Michael pops up I’m fighting for this nigga for life bro call it what you want “Stan” etc Michael the only celebrity I’ll truly defend. Also if I go up and you see me slander MJ then I’m compromised lol

Deadass bro. I’m willing to admit I still cry sometimes if I go on MJ deep dives, simply his god level talent leads me to the thought of the injustice that led to his death and it literally makes me sick. Not weeping but I shed tears

Agree, just the other day I watched some amateur footage of Michael at Wembley on the History tour & the Msg shows & got emotional because the view was similar to what mine would’ve been for This is It. I’ll probably never truly get over it.

Michael is the only album to have fake vocals. Keep your head up, monster & breaking news were recorded by Jason Malachi. There’s 12 of these fake songs - if you ever hear of a fake “bible” album, it’s those. I can find the list of all 12 so you know what you need to avoid lol

To jump in with a criticism to be fair, I know standards were higher, but unless it was a situation with legitimate vocal issues I feel like Michael dubbed over/did lip syncing more than he had to. Because when you hear the raw vocals he still sounds amazing along with the fact that he’s doing extremely intricate dance moves the whole time. But like I said standards were much higher
My main point as that even his vocals with natural imperfections are better than anyone else that was around

That would be cool if you listed them because I might recognize some, I was making a compilation documentary when I was in 7th grade but I just didn’t have the editing skills even though I had made a film prior I was trying to like intercut different shows together in sync and stuff I wasn’t there yet. But I had some of the fake songs in there i think ones called “Mamacita”? I found out later some were fake
Edit : Maybe I’m bugging and that one was real but I def had fake MJ leaks in there

I think the Remember The Time is the true best tbh, along with my Mom telling me stories about the premiere, in my head to debut Black or White to the simpsons audience with a fairly “white” song/video with the car thing at the end, but premier the black centric Remember The Time as just all around fun and good times. He was making statements left and got damned right
