It’s a Metroid game alright!! (Scanning everything in sight)

You can turn off the tutorials btw, they’re a bit unnecessary. It’s the first setting in gameplay settings
miles was barely in the game and he’s not really a tutorial guy at all you learn most stuff in the first 45 mins before you meet him, I think he gave me 1 or 2 tips max lol
also the vibe in the cutscenes was he’s just a dorky guy who’s like “save me samus” and it’s not that serious lmao how did people make such a big deal of this

Nintendo Life has caused me more PTSD with their take than the barely 5 minutes Myles was on screen.
Reviews are so obnoxious nowadays... Either people hype too much or they do the opposite and try to nitpick.
As I said in the other thread it feels good to be back in the GameCube era of gaming, I missed that charm

yeah completely agree it’s got an old school charm and I’ve been wanting a game like this. Intro was really quick too, I felt like I had a lot of powers and mechanics to work with in the first 30-45 min
but I can’t remember if mp3 felt like this too because it’s been over 15 years since I played it, I want to replay it immediately

I damn near shed a tear because everything about the game just feels like coming home, sound design and soundtrack, dungeons and the world building... The good old days!
I hope we get more of these type of games in the Switch 2 era, if I want giant games there is always Monolith Soft games... But we need to make room for new AA games... That was the amazing part about the GCN/PS2 era... New IPs were dropping left and right and it was not taxing in the same way on studios
Retro Studios are wizards this has the best art direction and soundtrack of the year and the pacing is like butter, constantly moving and getting new abilities and experiencing cool new things

Luke Stephens is a known grifter; I would know since I actually watch him frequently lmao
But he still has a point unfortunately.. amiibo has kinda felt either useless or a scam (#scamiibo anyone?
)
?
Desert has ambient music and scanning the amiibo just lets you use songs from other levels. There is no "desert song" locked behind anything. It's supposed to be ambient.

thanks for this
