yeah the More M's situation adds another twist, the only way it makes sense is Metro cleared it already for Savage or Savage convinced him because the issue had def started and I think the first sub was on Her Loss release day

How he goes about it sure, but the ask itself?Metro is a producer, him “working” could very well just mean that he was making beats to help him cope with the loss of his mother. That’s not the same thing as an outside artist bothering you for a song (one that you planned to keep for your own album anyway)

Sep 8, 2025unfortunatetruthIt was because Metro's mom died and Drake was begging him to clear the song while he was grieving , check the dates , the album dropped not long after she died. It was in poor taste.
As much as people hate Akademiks he said this last year
