    No cut content

They’re so scared of touching up anything Kojima did

Konami is weird for not letting them finish

Development only took 6 years at most (long time for that gen, but not ridiculous). The cutscenes were mostly done and they were a few months away from finalizing the missions.

Konami wanted to hit 2015 so they pushed it out. Can’t blame Kojima for leaving

And then they tried to make it DLC and Konami shut them down completely

They deserved a decade of failure

It already had precedent too with them dropping ground zeroes the year before V

  • Started finally mgs4, i played 5 hours straight, time flew by

Im still very early in, but i can sense this game was so misunderstood at the time and has only become more and more relevant lately, as with most kojima games.

The level design is even better than snake eater

  • I AM LIGHTNING

    THE RAIN TRANSFORMED

  • just played through 1,2,3. Had to after how good 4 was. all of it hits so differently now. When you think about the scale of the story and all the dots connecting, the recurring theme of war as a never-ending cycle that just uses people as political tools. Really makes you wonder how and when we really overcome and change this system. yeah this a top 5 series of all time.

  • the final fight is the exact same as death stranding 1

  • just rolled credits

  • my review from backloggd

The culmination of everything. Throughout the entire game it feels like you're on the precipice of the most important thing in the world, it's an overwhelming feeling.

Having never played the original on the PS3, I really had no idea what to expect, all I knew is that a lot of people consider this to be their favorite in the series and I think I might be in that camp now. Yes, there's a lot of a cutscenes and they're long, but they're also all so captivating and well directed.

The stealth gameplay of this series has never been my favorite, so I was glad to discover that this was more action oriented. The gameplay can still be a bit clunky but it was improved enough to meet the demands of the more action heavy segments. Boss fights are also something that I haven't loved about these games, and I'd say they're the weakest here. I found them to be pretty tedious and just not that interesting or challenging.

It's sorta surreal to be at this point in the series. This felt like the definitive way to wrap everything up but I still have Peace Walker, Ground Zeros and Phantom Pain waiting for me. It's like I've experienced the end but there's still so much more.

    5/5

  • I love 4 because it’s a sequel to the greatest game of all time

  • Mgs 4 microwave hall . Haven't played in over a decade but haven't forgotten. one of the most amazing scenes in a game (and that's say a lot for mgs4 lol come on the game is just filled to the brim with epic moments. Don't care about any debates about Big Boss vs Solid Snake that Internet spaces tend to have. Solid Snake is the hero of this series. Hell his character development from mgs1 to 2 is incredible.

4 is a direct sequel to 2 and also relies heavily on knowledge from 1. your experience will significantly worse if you don't play 2 at least. i played twin snakes (remake of 1) after finishing 4 and i wish i would've played it (or the og) before

I finally understand the whole series, and all I had to do was play all the games lmao but it’s really that simple

mgs1 holds up mostly really well, although I’d recommend playing on easy because some of the bosses low-key piss me off

mgs2 holds up incredibly well, make sure to use the updated visuals in the settings too, in the menu before you actually boot the game itself

I’ll take ur word. But ima finish delta and see how I feel.

I love the vibe and the story, despite not understanding it much. But the gameplay is a bit frustrating and kills my vibe half the time

But I feel a responsibility to see it through cus I respect the franchise and I paid for the game
