This really was an unfortunate accident but Tory facing potentially 20 years just because Meg/Rocnation couldn't handle two weeks of people having questions about the night on social media is wild.

Tory should absolutely be held accountable for even bringing a gun into the scuffle if that's what he did.

Her management had to convince her to put all the blame on Tory like that, which made sense since they were just looking to minimize short term negativity she was getting.

The way everything is playing out now though oof. This is a good example why you always need to have some Day 1 with you and not just label suits in rooms.

These sharks have sacrificed Megs long-term potential for their own benefits and promotions.

If this reasoning was true then why take it to trial? They only pursued Tory on this case after Megan pressed charges

I'm not gonna lie I'm more convinced now that she was telling the truth about seeing Tory shoot Meg in the September interview and tried to plead the Fifth to get out of having to answer questions the same way that she did then.

On Wednesday, when her testimony starts, everyone expects that she's going to repeat what she said in September.

But then, after the judge agrees her self-incrimination concerns are "legitimate" and then the prosecutors agree to give her "use immunity," she tries to get out of answering if Tory threatened to shoot her, finally agreeing that "yes," he did, but then trying to plead the Fifth again when the DDA asks her what she said, specifically.

    twitter.com/meghanncuniff/status/1603120469212729345?s=20&t=45c1QGnOxbBNOwzysNQLYA

Eventually, I guess she is made to understand how pleading the Fifth works and that you can't just say it whenever you don't want to answer the questions.

(Maybe she was worried about facing charges for lying to police in the interview. That's just my conjecture, though, I have no knowledge of whether or not that would be a convincing reason for a California judge to allow her to plead the Fifth.)

The next day, she's repeatedly reminded how "use immunity" and perjury work.

Hilariously, she claims not only that she doesn't know who shot Meg but that she doesn't even know if Meg was shot (it was just "her assumption).

If we think she's worried about perjuring herself, it might be instructive that this is how she described the bribery on the first day:

"Ta also asked Harris about Lanez offering her $1 million not to testify against him, saying, “Kelsey, at some point in this case, did Tory try to bribe you?”

“Um,” Harris said, before a pregnant, roughly 20-second pause.

    “Not just me,” she said.

Ta followed by asking Harris who else Lanez tried to bribe. That’s when Harris said, “I wouldn’t say ‘bribe.'” She said Lanez said it wasn’t “about not saying anything, no,” but then she added, “but it was mentioned.” She also said, “He mentioned a million dollars…I guess it was just about the case.”

Ta asked, “He offered you a million dollars to keep quiet” about the shooting?

“That’s not the exact wording,” Harris answered. “He mentioned the million, but again it’s a blur.” Ta asked Harris if she’s previously said Lanez offered her favors for not talking, and she answered, “Again, I said a few things in our interview.”"

    Then on the second day:

When this is what she said in September:

Is Tory not a street nigga? He at least claims to be in his songs. Should be damn near muscle memory to wipe a gun or get rid of it before police arrive. I’m not saying he did wipe it down but I don’t get why that possibility is so out there to y’all lol

Do you think he can just wipe his dna off and nobody else's?

Are you seriously asking this or joking? This nigga doesn't have time to properly clean this gun and wipe all the parts. A smudged or removed fingerprint is practically useless but DNA can still be obtained from a removed fingerprint. We have skin flakes, hair particles, etc. Those aren't gonna go away if you just wipe the gun down without properly cleaning it with a solvent. So the fact that the gun was found with no fingerprints but it had DNA tells me the theory of it being wiped down before the police came is very possible imo

Megan never pressed charges against Tory, the DA did. Megan is just a witness in the trial. This is not her legal team, this is not her people as these biased blogs keep reporting.

I repeat Megan did not press charges against Tory. It’s the State V Tory Lanez. The media just did a great job as painting Meg as some evil woman.

I see but I thought Megan had originally said she was scratched by glass and that they were rolling with that?

She explained in her live that when the cops first pulled them over she was trying to protect everyone. She was scared to tell them there was a gun in the car with weapons drawn on them. Tory later repeated this on his album about it being glass in her feet. But it’s been proven that bullet fragments were taken out of her feet, not glass.

If Megan was the one pressing charges, I don’t think she’d have such incompetent representation. (the LA prosecutors suck lol)

The interview wasnt with the police it was with the prosecution. If they wanted it on court record under oath all they had to do was subponea her for a Zoom pre trial deposition, the fact that they didnt do it suggests the prosecution was on some bullshit
