Try not to be attached to the outcome of the meditation, end of the day it’s good and important that you’re doing it so keep it up! It’s a blessing that we’re able to take those 10-20+ minutes of time to ourselves every day
Yeah y’all right. Thanks for the affirmation
My Daily Routine:
Morning:
Write three pages (the artists way)
Meditate
Listen to 20 minutes of Power of Now
Workout (cardio)
Cold shower
Head out to write (I’m an aspiring filmmaker)
Evening/Night:
Read
Workout (weights)
Study film(s)
Meditate again if I feel up to it
And then I like to listen to affirmations while sleeping to get the extra subconscious boost
And then lifestyle choices are:
Vegan diet (not strict, some days I slip)
Try and drink a gallon water a day
No Fap
Try and limit social media/KTT

What films you been looking at lately
What films you been looking at lately
Any and everything on Criterion Channel. Usually what I’ll do is go to the “leaving this month section” and try and catch as much as possible before they leave.
Recently I watched “He who gets slapped” a silent film from the 1920s
I have films I watch to study and films I watch for pleasure. So currently I’m tryna study more older and art house type films

I really study the structure of the story, the ups and downs it goes through. The rhythm of dialogue. Camera techniques. I look for details. Etc. I just really a***yze the film and figure out why it works.
Also guys I use an app called “Done” pretty much you can customize your own “daily routine list” and check it off each day to help keep you on track and then it keeps tab of how many days in a row you’ve gone with doing a goal/task
I've been making the effort to become more serious with meditation lately, putting aside 10-15mins a day.
I really want to go for longer but I'm slowly building up to it.
I used this video as a guide today and really enjoyed it:

Don’t yall think it’s crazy we “struggle” to find 15-20 minutes to meditate yet blow hours just being on our phone/social media

I love that quote that says like if you don’t have time to meditate for 30 minutes then you should meditate for an hour

Damn that’s a good one!
“For nothing is fixed, forever and forever and forever, it is not fixed; the earth is always shifting, the light is always changing, the sea does not cease to grind down rock. Generations do not cease to be born, and we are responsible to them because we are the only witnesses they have. The sea rises, the light fails, lovers cling to each other, and children cling to us. The moment we cease to hold each other, the sea engulfs us and the light goes out.”

Anyone got any tips for neck or hip pain when meditating for extended periods? I sit up on the edge of the bed when I practice and after a while depending on the session my neck and hip tendon hurt

What do you mean by head out to write
What do you mean by head out to write
I’m an aspiring film maker. So I head out to my local library or a coffee shop to go write for a few hours. Im still furloughed from my job so I make an effort to leave my house to go write so I can get out the crib for like 5-6 hours.
