I don’t think anyone would say that unless they have an axe to grind against Pharrell. I think they both are extremely talented and wish they still worked together.

I think Chad is an extreme introvert so he just doesn’t come into people’s minds like Pharrell does who’s more front facing and kind of the ambassador of The Neptunes and NERD. There’s plenty of examples of Pharrell’s solo genius like HHNF and the video I posted earlier in thread of him crafting a best, song, and hook from scratch.

Like them both, I like Pharrell beats because they inspire me to create because of catchy synth lines.

Ofc he still does some great beats here and there but most of his production doesn’t engage me nowadays.

I love the texture and variety Kanye's production has. There is a certain depth and sometimes simplicity to it at the same time that most can’t replicate.

Me, you, and @Allen_Iverson know that Chad helped on majority of the stuff until 2006 when the credits on the CDS start poppin up with "Produced by Pharrell from The Neptunes".

S*** like that is the reason why people downplay P's late 2000s era so much, because he was putting work on those beats.

Majority of people's problem's with Pharrell's modern day production is that he moved past his original sound.

He's showing that he doesn't really want to go to back to that sound, unless he finds the itch to do it again.

I think more ppl nowadays are influenced by the Pharell sound and want Neptunes type beats than Kanye type beats TBH

It's funny, because people always talk about Pharrell uses the same 808 drumkit, when back then it was the same story with a lot of his early hits that use the iconic Neptunes drums.

The only difference was really his production styles then and now.
