Everyone of your points focuses on insulting my intelligence rather than any particular example from the film
the animatrix does not deal with aging and self-belief (reifying, or actualization)
and most importantly of all you logged into a fan site went to the matrix section and then were surprised that there were fans of matrix in the matrix section who maybe were a little more open to the film than you or took something different from you

There is no discussion to have about this movie in regard to theme or plot. It is an explicit, transparent movie. If you take its actual plot seriously, you are a baby with keys jangling in your face. If you attempt to grapple with its themes, you are talking back to the characters on screen. Either way, you aren't getting anywhere.
Now I think there is a conversation to be had about this film being aesthetically so unappealing. It is so uncool and ugly and plasticized. The scene in the Shire when they're talking about the heist? The ridiculous Zion 2.0 balcony shot? Morpheus' ugly suits? The Pixar robots? This movie is disgusting to look at. You know what would be original? Maybe continuing the distinct 90s rave s*** that set it apart from other film properties even then!
