There was plenty of character development? I invite you to describe the personality of more than two characters in this film. There's a character who speaks in sign language, and that's it. That's her personality. She has no serious conversations and does nothing that impacts the plot other than finding a volcano. What does the punching guy do? Nothing. Angelina Jolies entire character is that she randomly attacks everyone for no reason, and everyone just puts up with it without any discussion. And then one day she just stops acting crazy?

They were explored quickly, Chloe gave us subtext, and showed a very enjoyable amount of depth of a diverse group of character in a comic book film, its impressive.

but yeah Eternals is probably the furthest we gotten from a traditional mcu movie yet even with those tropes which I agree it has still
