Depends how often the activity is done. Again I just dream of a spider man game with such a variety in side content where I could do it as miles in or out of costume peter in or out of costume and secret identity system. Like go full rpg but that is just me nerding out. So far its more spider man with bigger larger set pieces and better tech which is dope enough for me

Obviously yes its better and I felt the same about late game of OG but yeah can't recommend full price if biggest gripe was combat. Its just doomed to get repetitive with how they do it as our most beat em ups. Final Fantasy XVI I had some of the same gripes
again later game will mix up more and there are some creative things you can possibly do but would wait in your case

Not to say its bad before people jump me and I am only so far in but it is 70$ and there are so many games out

I’m still early into the game so who knows, but definitely at first glance, a lot more depth than the first 2 games. There’s so many skills and gadgets to upgrade between Peter & Miles. There’s also the parry mechanic, which is required for moves you can’t dodge. Not sure how it will fair in the long run, but it’s a step in the right direction to make combat more engaging.

Arkham Knight upgraded so much about its combat and mechanics to a point where playing any of the other 3 was like night and day.
Idk if this will reach the same heights, but I can imagine getting the black suit is gonna switch it up

I think comics have explained it by having him constantly restraining how hard he punches. He pulls his punches & basically gives like 5% effort against every single enemy unless they’re Thanos or something
But then the obviously flaw in logic is if it’s a legit situation where the city is about to explode or innocents are gonna die, why continue to do that when you could knock people out with 1 touch
