BP2 is set for 2022, they had to shoot next year. There’s no way he didn’t inform Marvel and Disney of his health.
The only way I’d personally be fairly cool with a recast is if Chadwick told Disney and Marvel to do it. If not then Shuri is probably the only answer.
I can’t believe this though, man. I was watching Civil War last night as the news hit. What a f***ing gut punch.
He was working hard lately even if he was doing bad.
Shuri is the safest bet imo. I don't think fans would be mad.
A sequel of Shuri assuming the mantle and the throne is the only thing that makes sense. They can pull a Paul Walker and retire T’Challa to be with Lupita without killing him off

Yeah it’s the only thing I could see fans being alright with
Jesus. Yall talking bout this already? Leave it be for a few weeks?
S*** is weird frfr. It's just like when John Witherspoon died and the first thing niggas asked was "well what's gonna happen with the new Boondocks show?"
Like are y'all serious

Bro they were talking about it in the RIP thread an hour after he died
I wonder how Marver will continue this. I don't really want them to find another Black Panther right now.
Maybe a prequel about Killmonger. Or give Shuri a spin off. She's the female Tony rn.
They should do a similar structure to Godfather Part 2
Vito = Killmonger
Michael = Shuri
Yall can’t even wait a few days to start discussing this s***? Smh
It's not like we're trying to find another actor. Just wondering who in the movie will inherit his character.
I doubt they will recast T'Chala's character but will rather let Shuri take on the mantle or bring in another black actor as a successor....

I don’t believe the character of “T’Challa” should be killed off with the passing of Chadwick. The character itself - even outside of his Black Panther identity is too important to end just like that.
I just realized we’re getting one more performance from Chadwick as T’Challa next year in ‘What If?’

rewatch yesterday gave me an idea for a somewhat feasible resurrection of Killmonger.... what if after Panther "buried him in the ocean" he was immediately found and saved by the Atlanteans that theyve been teasing
would be an epic way to introduce Namor and have someone that can actually fill Panthers shoes as the most badass hand to hand combatant this side of Cap. He might want to right his wrongs.
M'Baku would make a good Panther too tbh, with a more comedic edge. Dude was hilarious.

I understand, everyone is different. But the black panther role was the last thing I thought of when I heard the news. It just feels like people itt are dehumanizing him when all they’re concerned about is a f***ing movie role and the man lost his life.

Most of us were in the rip thread the day he passed in shambles with everyone over all the videos that showed his humanity and had nothing to do with Panther. Its been a few days though and it's not the Rip thread and he's part of the biggest franchise oat so there is plenty to discuss on a nerd level. I don't know what the respectful wait period is cause someone that's such a big part of an even bigger machine rarely passes away like this.

And I got muted for saying "Interesting"
