My theory is that this movie is relatively low stakes for Marvel Studios so they just gave it over to talented filmmakers and largely stayed out of their way.

Glad Florence is getting across the board gigantic praise. Yelena sounds charming, charismatic and badass in this. and also sounds like ofc Florence brings heart to the role and has a good arc.

Has anyone seen any reviews mention the score? Son Lux have some great music in their own right and I loved there EEAAO score but I haven’t seen anyone mention the score in this so far, seems like it may not have much to it sadly

Perception is a weird thing. Sinners feels like an absolute cultural phenomenon. All anybody wants to talk about the past couple weeks.

And yet this Marvel movie full of bargain bin characters is about to demolish Sinners' opening weekend. Even then I doubt it will feel as big of an event as Sinners felt.
