lol i donno how people treat this as some return to form for marvel
it still has a s*** under-developed villain
s*** action sequences
s*** Marvel-tier cringe comedy
You just described iron man 1

I disagree but RDJ charisma alone can carry a film

Sentry was the main antagonist and I wouldn’t say he was underdeveloped. That’s just my opinion tho

Homegirl from Seinfeld was the villain tho
I think this was a "return to form", if you consider them making bog standard MCU movies a return to form. Not something I'd celebrate personally but I see why people did, I GUESS. Void was hard, cool to see characters interact, but having virtually no real plot and being FULL TO THE BRIM with jokes didn't make this truly any better than the status quo. I think the fact that it reached so hard for dramatic gravitas, and completely settled for quip city, made me think people were stuck so hard on the marketing that their eyes glazed over for the actual film
And, cuz white ppl fail upwards, now this nigga directing xmen. Lord have mercy

She may have been the villain that kicked off the story but Sentry was the antagonist of the plot. The conflict mostly revolves around him
Probably a crazy example but it’s similar to Shadow the Hedgehog and Eggman in Sonic. By the 3rd movie Eggman is one of the bad guys but Shadow was the main opposing force to the heroes
Another example is Talia and Bane in TDKR. Just because it was Talia’s plan in the end doesn’t mean she was the main antagonist of the movie

Just watched last night. It’s definitely one of the better MCU movies, especially recently.
Better action sequences than most too. Hand to hand stuff that’s more intimate has always been the better side of MCU. They are s*** at fights involving real powers and ridiculously strong heroes.
Marvel comedy is every MCU movie so it is what it is
Sentry was okay. Marvel villains are usually terrible so he wasn’t any worse than the usual suspects
I disagree but RDJ charisma alone can carry a film
And Tom’s didn’t
Niggas will describe an MCU film like “this movie f***ing sucks it has a garbage villain and garbage writing and garbage cinematography and awful action and terrible comedy this is trash!”
Whole time they mean to say the words “Marvel films are not for me”

Depends on the marvel movie
This one was whatever but I thought fantastic four was underrated
Depends on the marvel movie
Anyone who thinks Thunderbolts* has s*** action, s*** comedy, AND a s*** villain probably just doesn’t like Marvel movies
Like for me, I feel pretty much the same way about the three Avatar films, but I recognize they’re just not for me rather than thinking they’re all s*** movies

Seeing dog s*** movies like Batman Forever/Robin, Catwoman and f***ing Dark World as well as Ben Affleck’s Dardevil of all things getting love is hilarious
Whine about hype moments and aura but caping for the s***tiest of cape s*** just because your screenshot shows a nice aesthetic
