I don’t think Wolverine will be the only member to get a solo either. It’ll depend on how the movie does and which characters popularity takes off but I’m sure there will be solos

Those aren’t comparable to Wolverine where we saw it milked to death for a quarter century

They’re also in development of a Nova movie lol

You know how he became so popular because they milked him to death then brought him back to life to milk him more

iirc there was an update way back someone posted in here that they’re writing solos actually so its probly already in development

I think that’s his point. It’s been milked and made a lot of money. They’re going to keep milking until it stops working

As soon as it changes actors and writers where they won’t do a r rated trilogy what you think will happen

I like how X-Men 97 handles Wolverine. He gets his dope moments and character progression

But the show makes it clear he’s not THE guy, and is definitely not the leader

i'm fine with wolvie again if we get x-23

And add him to second movie of x men just no trilogy

Especially since members often leave or quit the team before rejoining

I can see Cyclops getting a solo. A Gambit and Rogue movie

i think the other point being made is not that we dont expect marvel to capitalize, but that after decades of wolverine being the central focus - some don’t necessarily want a solo trilogy of him

The main franchises they're gonna have post-Secret Wars are:

• X-Men
• The Avengers
• Spider-Man
• Fantastic Four

The ones that potentially won't be getting further installments are:

• Black Panther - Coogler may possibly be done after the 3rd one, but maybe they keep the franchise going with a new director

• Thor - A 5th movie still hasn't been announced or even rumored, and the character's story may be finished depending on what happens in Secret Wars

• Thunderbolts* - Sequel not announced, but with Jake Schreier doing X-Men I'm not sure if it'll get a sequel

• Captain America - Brave New World flopped, doesn't seem like they'll be making more of these

• Doctor Strange - A third entry made the most sense coming before Secret Wars considering where Multiverse of Madness left off, but since it's not announced I'd be shocked if we got anything more than one more film

So with only 4 mainline franchises that are all-but-confirmed post-Secret Wars, I don't see why Wolverine couldn't get his own solo trilogy that runs concurrently with the X-Men films

I’ve been in two comic stores looking for an absolute Wonder Woman issue and both have been having detailed discussions about the casting lol

But in the OG show Wolverine is a big focus. Probably where Fox men was influenced from

Wolverine is extremely popular. If they committed to a trilogy for the character it would be one of their top priorities, the same way Spider-Man is for them

Oh yeah for sure. I’m not saying I particularly want a Wolverine solo anytime soon but just that I think they’ll make one sooner rather than later

Idk man those were my favorite parts but he was clearly a number 2 rival character such as vegeta he rarely got the big wins and played support to cyclops and them

Doctor Strange 2 did more than any X-Men movie ever has except for the one actually made by MCU.

I don't think any character not named Spider-Man will get trilogies, the X-Men characters will probably be in solo movies of other X-Men and they're probably gonna make some more mini-event movies for more characters to show up.

In a perfect world the streaming shows would've solved this, but they flopped and they're killing them.

I just don't get that pushback.

We got 5 Spider-Man solo films in 11 years before he joined the MCU, and then we got 4 more live-action movies and nobody's complained.

Wolverine only got 3 solo films in 17 years, and if you count the X-Men films that he was the lead in, that brings the total to 7 films in 17 years.
