Punisher really had no form of character arc besides a joke of how dark his life was . Yes I get the focus was Aunt May death and Aunt May talking to Jean. But Jean seeing what made Frnak dark and understanding him would have also tied in great with the ending .

Me personally would have loved seeing inside each characters mind how they were coping with loss and grief of people they love and of forgetting peter. If MJ knew she loved someone but for some reason their face was blurred and she was constantly in a way chasing that love or understanding. Scorpion give a backstory of some kind other than just a prop. Hulk same thing. Use the power to explore humanity a bit more than they did. Then the emotional punch would feel more earned to me

eh i wouldnt go that far. he starts out as aggressive and wanting to do things his way. by the end of the film, he’s displaying selflessness and even more vulnerability than at his residence

just can tell the studio cut down that specific scene and they had about 30-60 seconds they could’ve worked with to make it feel more impactful

Attempting to shoot Jean Grey and accidentiallhy shooting spider man never really seeing him that distraught because quickly spider man wakes up for jokes time about getting shot and nearly killed but not due to Jean keeping him alive . Then back to jokes of Punisher pretending to be spider man

as far as the other things go, individually diving into each of these characters in that way would’ve clouded the movie

i mean thats legitimate comic book humor you just described lol and we do see him distraught, although very briefly. they didnt need to make him all sappy for that. he showed remorse and that was part of his character arc

you just boiled down the whole hospital scene to him waking up and joking and Punisher not being distraught because of the joke, which isnt true lol

they addressed Jean and how she was keeping him alive, Punisher takes accountability for his actions and is remorseful, hell he even stayed overnight and helped protect his identity. the Punisher pretending to be Spidey bit was less than 5 seconds, it didnt take away at all from the emotional aspect of the scene lol

we’re complaining about two different things. my issue is cutting dialogue or a scene too soon. yours is how things were written & structured

Yeah he stayed overnight but casually taking the shot in the first place was more than a WHOOPSIE. Even if he does shoot Jean he doesnt know the ramifications or if it would make the given situation worse.

If Punisher shoots and kills Jean who is basically a child for her family member being captured. Whether the bullet kills her or not ( likely would) the damage done in the area would be catastrophic. Yes he didnt shoot him but he was fully willing to kill Jean because bullets has been his solution to everything all movie

It just didnt fully work for me . Glad it worked for others and overall again I have said this better than the home trilogy . We knew spider man 100 percent not going to die from the shot or his life in anyway change, even see the damage of the shot or anything. It helped them recreate a comic panel.

The city loved Spider Man before he got shot and after he got shot. No one knows his secret identity. Like him being shot or not only showed Jean he cared to not kill her which we have known throughout the movie and if they actually talked a bit more he could figure out that her sister is being captured much earlier in the movie rather than save it as some twist itself. Which I wish it did. Jean being so evil but not saying "they have my sister" and V MAX being a martha like moment when it wasnt because the entire time I took MAX as max security of someone she cared about was like "okay"

I’ll defend the v-max twist. It being revealed that is the last thing her sister saw while being tortured is surprisingly darker than I thought they’d go

Way better than the alternative of it being some weapon or substance

Oh yeah I agree it is darker just feels like a bit of the middle portion of the movie was dragged out in multiple ways with Ned MJ remembering peter which we knew they would, MJ in danger and Jean clearly looking for someone she cared about.

We kind of know where its going but the reveal could have happened a bit sooner to see more of how the characters react to the truth

Me wanting Punishers dark trauma in the movie to be a bit more explored than Jean going in his mind and saying "whew its f***ed up in there" and he makes chili alone then feels remorse after nearly killing spider man inadvertly isnt a crazy ask. Also I mention that for all the chracters in the movie. They dip their toe in but I PERSONALLY wanted a bit more if you think it was perfect thats dope as f*** I am not you.
