    This movie was just about as good as NWH which is to say not good at all . Im really confused as to how this is beating endgame and NWH cuz there was nothing exciting in here to even justify that

    I can tell you didn't really watch the movie with an open mind if you are walking out thinking "how did this movie make more than these movies" and thats your focus.

    Its quite clear how its beating a movie that released during a global pandemic.

    Superman still works at the Daily Planet in the new film. No excuse. It’s a superhero movie, people can suspend their disbelief with the newspaper industry lol. Also they’re definitely not doing Harry at this point. If they do, it’s probably just gonna be some weird rendition of the character like the MCU Flash Thompson that is insignificant to the plot

    Yall do realize that this is the type s*** that actually fundamentally changes the character?

    Not him being Iron Man Jr

    Not whether or not he f***in with “the real MJ”

    If hes in high school or not

    This film is amazing

    i feel its just ok as a spiderman movie

    he like doesn't really go through much...i feel like im always damn near watching a pg movie with hollands character

    This series doesn’t get to those numbers without the Peter/Ned/MJ trio. Niggas might hate them, but they have a Harry/Ron/Hermione effect for a lot of fans of the franchise, and this dynamic serves as an emotional linchpin for our caring of Peter

    it makes these movies feel like buddy cop comedies

    yeah this how I felt when I was watching it. it felt very comic booky and a lot of supporting characters that are there to help the story

    agree about jean. didn't need there to be a whole basically 30 min attached to her life

    i just think they couldve done the situation bait and switch better tbh

    they make him so green. i feel like spiderman shares a lot of similarities with batman as far as the amount of sleuthing and piecing together he has to do, i feel like hes just still so naive it makes some of this feel amateurish

    Uncle Ben exists, and is mentioned lightly a few times since Civil War. Reason being because 10 years ago when people were excited for Spider-Man to be the MCU, everyone was fine with not retreading the Uncle Ben stuff because EVERYONE knows the story already.

    Harry can still pop up, Daily Bugle is a podcast now and idk if I’m living under a rock but newspapers are not on the same level as podcasters rn. Plus everyone has a cellphone, you can find 100+ Peter Parker’s in NYC lol.

    You want Peter fetching JJJ some coffee while singing Spidey’s praises before they record?

    It has its moments for sure but by the end it feels like a bunch of nothing. They somehow managed to make Jean feel like a replaceable character with an uninteresting story, and immediately start undoing the magic that puts him through it all in the very next film.

    Literally had the perfect opportunity to correct all of that in this movie too after the NWH ending

    they made him be bruce wayne sans the stuff that makes him intriguing

    Uncle Ben I can let go some even if it feels odd . The rest genuinely bothers me especially because a job and oscorp could easily fill in some of the writing gaps we are seeing
