    Tom is now around the same age Tobey was when he first played Spider-Man crazy.

    2002 - 2007 -> 5 years

    2012 - 2014 -> 2 years

    2016 - 2025 -> 9 years

    Crazy how fast time flies. Tobey's age felt like a long time when you're a kid, but Tom's been Spider-Man longer than either of them

    2012-2015 really was the dark age for modern spider-man

    movies and games weren’t good, no good cartoon, mcu stock rising rapidly while he was struggling to keep up

    even DC was making a play with CW Flash kinda feeing like Peter Parker at times

    Sony is so dumb

    This was my concern after NWH, they'd just want to go bigger after that for a sequel. IMO they should make a separate small scale live action Spider-Verse movie with them (if they absolutely have to) and keep the Tom movies separate.

    It feels so easy and obvious to go from NWH to a grounded, 130ish million dollar budget Spider-man film where he's actually doing Friendly Neighborhood s***

    F*** off Sony

    Imagine how crazy things would be if the MCU had the rights for all the characters from the jump? Infinity War and Endgame would've been so much better. They still did an incredible job with the limited cast of characters they had though but man f*** corporate greed

    Dumbasses at Sony film studios probably don’t realize it can be grounded AND huge. If f***ing Oppenheimer made less than $100 million away from a billy, then I’m sure a satisfying followup to NO WAY HOME isn’t gonna have commercial troubles just cause it’s more grounded

    I really hope this whole Sony-verse flops and they just outright sell the rights to Marvel studios. This s*** is so stupid

    Fans and the general public - of ALL generations btw - are so in love with Tom’s Spider-Man and so high off No Way Home that everyone is gonna show up to Spider-Man 4. If anything, a grounded followup would probably be bigger box office wise off the virtue of being the direction that everyone agrees is the most satisfying

    why can everyone but Sony see the easy succes they’ll have with the Feige approach

  • Jan 25, 2024

    This should be an easy lay up for all parties. Just make a grounded Spider-Man story that's more down to earth and street level. Over complicating stuff.
