But Homecoming (imo) was great and felt like a street level adventure despite Tony’s presence. Peter’s story in NWH still felt like a classic high stakes Spider-Man tragedy despite being bloated with multiverse stuff.

It can be pulled off but eh idk. They’ll do what they want at the end of the day, I’m tired of stressing about it lol

I like how every Spidey fan on the internet has the same street level hero idea and still feel the need to pitch it like it’s new

It shouldn’t be new but after four Spider-Man films and several other appearances in a row with absurdly high stakes with seemingly no plans to change, I can’t blame the fans that feel like they arent being heard

And on top of that some fans are definitely new. Spider-Verse ushered in a whole new era for the character. So did the MCU with comic characters in general

I dont think wanting a cinematic Spider-Man that exists in a world with and has relationships with other heroes was an unreasonable request

Nobody said anything about cameos and team ups in every film

Homecoming he was fighting his prom dates dad. Vulture about as low stakes as a villain you can get too

One of my main criticisms with FFH was how low stakes it ultimately is after we learn about the twist. He essentially is fighting tiny drones controlled by a non-powered disgruntled employee

We also gotta realize how overpowered Spider-Man has become since those Raimi films. Not just in MCU but in comics and all other media. Spider-Man is one of the strongest Marvel characters
