Am I the only person upset that May isn’t buried next to Uncle Ben?
Aunt May is Uncle Ben
I agree but 98% of the movie watchers definitely do not gaf
I mean if you were going to have him listen to every strange man that came into his life you might as well have . Mysterio, goblin , vulture
Any man that came into his life he like I fully trust you instantly
First time you can give him teenage naive but by the end of no way home it’s maddening and it feels against the root of his character

Well this character's root is that he don't got no daddy figure so he reaching hard af tryna get it
Especially one that can help him with the side of his life that's supposed to be "secret"
Feige kept saying we aren’t doing an origin story . Which cool we didn’t see the spider bite and early things but what we did see was a 3 movie origin story where Tony stark and stark tech hand held him through being spider man . Cool we didn’t see an uncle Ben but Tony was uncle Ben and Peter trusted every single man that came into his life costing him the life of aunt May . He immediately got a gf . He revealed his secret identity at the end of each movie and they for some reason refuse to keep his mask on as if they think we forget it’s tom holland
Stark tech didn't hand held him through being Spider-Man, the whole point of Homecoming was that he didn't actually need Stark tech or even be an Avenger. Even in the second one he's able to defeat Mysterio (who uses Stark tech) in the end by using his spider senses and trusting his instinct. Only actual help he got was Happy giving him a lift from a completely different country (what was Pete even supposed to do in that situation, he even calls in favors sometimes in comics) and Peter using the Stark tech fabricator to make things sometimes but by using his own brain and designs.
Idk if you've seen NWH but Aunt May was the one who compelled him to help those villains lol after meeting Green Goblin at the shelter. Also Spidey being too trusting of people is pretty much a known trait of the character, he's been f***ed over by friend-turned-villains or people with ulterior motives multiple times.
He didn't get MJ in the first one, he had a date with Vulture's daughter but had to ditch her for Spider-Man duties. Then obviously once he got MJ as his gf, his identity gets revealed to the world and by the end he even loses her and his entire identity just to protect the multiverse from that spell.
The memes have actually deluded people into thinking he's Iron Boy. The MCU version of the character has actually been very faithful to the mythos of the character, obviously there are added elements from the MCU but that was expected because it is a shared universe.
Wish animated series had yearly season schedules again because I’m also fiending for Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man S2.
First season was so good.

I get that I just think the writing of it could have been much much better . Because they aren’t genuine father figures . They are plot figures that focus solely on his superhero side. We don’t see Peter get his first job , bills or go through human struggles he has to balance . Secret identity moments limited and so much of the trilogy is “ I’m going to Europe, I’m going to dc “ which waste character world building time . Also just odd writing overall . Throughout the entire trilogy . Never terrible but definitely odd . Which is why people are hyped for something new . The way they were going they don’t get those record trailer numbers .

Stark tech as a stand in for oscorp technology and avoiding building spider man world up is off putting .going from many genetic mutation villains human experiments to suits they can take on and off and anyone can put it on . To me defeats some of the purpose . Rhino chameleon kraven in Sony verse some of his better villains . Lizard who knows. Doc ock I get it they already aced it . Green goblin in cartoon. Tombstone cool but kingpin so close . Smythe could have been making this tech . Too much of spider man home trilogy is avengers connected when avengers is about to evaporate . When he disappeared in the snap they should have had bro in his own world with just his story then snaps back into the universe . Because home trilogy feels like mostly a waste . Made money regardless of what I think still better than asm2 but it is definitely a moment where you miss them not forcing things . When x men starts if every movie has a forced avengers plot I will feel the same way m
S*** I’m saying same about Gunn verse too

the marvel brain cycle kicks off again!
mad trailer views
reshoots
debuts at 98%
best marvel movie EVER
one year later
it was disappointing
just realized tom’s is the oldest peter we’ve seen in live action now
not counting tobey and andrew in NWH
How close will this box office be to No Way Home, both opening weekend and end gross I lowkey wonder
imagine if spider-man wasn't bound to the mcu and we actually got spider-man movies that looked good and not like f***ing grey tv commercials
Release Marvel from Disney
Imagine if Marvel became independent and gave everyone their shots to make their own Marvel movies their own way
I would do anything for a very bloody R-rated Black Panther universe
How close will this box office be to No Way Home, both opening weekend and end gross I lowkey wonder
I think this will do around $1.5B
There isn't the massive hype of the crossover stuff plus being one of the few major movies to release only in theaters during a pandemic to fuel this one like No Way Home got fueled

ngl no one should care about if he has to pay bills or anything like that lmao its a superhero film in a shared universe

I do care because I think shared universes often when more focused on the shared part than honoring the characters dilute the story . Which is what I have been saying in every single post if it works for you dope . If static finally got a movie and they constantly forced his movies to throw in Batman Superman cameos I would say the same thing . When they are more serving the universe than the character they don’t age well as to me the home trilogy shows
X-Men: Children of the Atom
A miniseries about the origins of the original five that takes place right before Lee and Kirby’s first issue of X-Men. William Metzger, the character that Trammell Tillman is playing in Brand New Day, is introduced here in his only comics appearance to date as the leader of the Anti-Mutant Militia.
If they’re going out of their way to adapt him, it’s safe to assume the ultimate point is to adapt this miniseries
