No one is/was interested in Captain Marvel weak ass character imo. It wouldve been the same imo. We have gotten way more interesting and developed chara ter with Sue Storm and Yelena that can lead teams

I would argue that at the time, a sequel to a billion dollar movie was seen as highly important. With that and Kamala recruiting Kate Bishop for the Young Avengers at the end, they were betting a lot on The Marvels. It didn’t turn out in their favor, it happens.

I would argue the only things they can definitely throw out from the projects that didn’t work are Secret Invasion, Eternals, and She Hulk.

Ironheart was received well and streamed well so that worked for them. I know going forward they are going to put more separation between TV and films. Not that the shows aren’t canon, but that they won’t influence the plot of the films. This probably won’t take affect until after Secret Wars though.

Captain Marvel was pretty much released after a huge tease in one of the biggest movies oat in Infinity War, it wasnt much because of the character/plot/movie style it was because it was strategically released. Heck I feel like her role got reduced in endgame after some mfers complained (which I dont agree). Still, id you see any Brie Larson interviews in that period she looks done with anything Marvel related so it surprises me she accepted to anything.

They shouldve kept Kamala Khan because the other two dont make any sense
