There are a lot of hints in this teaser that strange could be Mephisto
Would make a dope set up for multiverse of madness
Most likely a reach tho
When did ppl find out this was real?
A lot of behind the scenes pictures were leaked on Sunday. From an unfinished trailer, to the villains and the other Spider-Man’s
Watch Ben Affleck Daredevil be in this
Daredevil is in the movie I guarantee it. Season 4 for Daredevil got announced around the time the trailer came out. They said he's getting introduced into the MCU somehow
it’s crazy everyone’s mentioning strange acting off while not mention the sanctum is covered in snow and he’s wearing a bubble jacket
there’s more to it i think

Surprised I haven’t seen that theory around more considering
1) how mephisto crazy people were during WandaVision
2) in the comic this movie seems partly based on, it’s Mephisto doing the spell for Peter instead of doctor strange
who would you say is more the main villain to spider man?
goblin
doc ock
venom
I'd say Goblin
who would you say is more the main villain to spider man?
goblin
doc ock
venom
Goblin. Especially since Venom bounces between villain and anti-hero in the source material
who would you say is more the main villain to spider man?
goblin
doc ock
venom
I think goblin has the most personal connection
just realized peter was wearing some 1s in the beginning with MJ
came a long way from brown new balances and a cracked samsung
who would you say is more the main villain to spider man?
goblin
doc ock

Green Goblin is literally the only answer here lmfao
It's like asking who's the main villain to Batman

I feel like spidey villains are all about how messy and tense the personal connection is. The ways they’re tied to Peter in his real life but also as their villains they want spidey dead and how that all works together
Vulture in homecoming did that soo well.
Doc Ock and Goblin both have that in super cool ways but goblin is the quintessential tbh
i was born at the right time
The f***in horns on the soundtrack
Green Goblin is literally the only answer here lmfao

Yes but no. His question actually raises a great point about the disconnect in how fans perceive the Spider-Man mythos as opposed to the general public (though not as big of a disconnect as is with Superman).
If we look at Batman, sure his villains are all pretty popular and iconic but no matter what - the Joker is clear cut as THE guy above them all. With Spidey it’s a bit different. To us super fans, we know Goblin is THE guy above the rest but because of how Spidey’s mythos have been presented in mainstream media, Goblin/Venom/Doc Ock are relatively in the same echelon for the general public when it comes to who his main villain is
Take into account that Venom is the most recognized and beloved Marvel villain ever. So pretty much it’s a case of the popularity levels irl not matching the levels of importance in the established canon, ie Spidey himself being the most popular and beloved Marvel character despite not being THE top guy in the established canon
Feel like Venom is the dark mirror and Goblin might be the "opposite"
Like how Lex is Supermans opposite
