That's the worst part for me. It's unacceptable and I'm tired of pretending it is. Change is not inherently good and switching out Ben for Tony without justification is beyond moronic. They say you don't touch the classics like this for a reason

A lot of spider man themes are attacked in homecoming to showcase this is in fact Spider-Man at heart . From the beginning to the end he has a core spider man arc which literally ends with him paying homage to a legendary comic scene when he completes his arc . Skipping one death does not negate his whole character
