people been begging marvel for years now to make their movies longer again and they just won’t listen cause they think if it’s shorter they can maximize showtimes and profits

this, marvels, dr strange, and cap 4 all felt slightly compromised to keep a mandated quick runtime

F4 is probably the one that’s the least affected but you can still sense it in parts

This was super solid despite it, but it pisses me off more cause this could've been way better. The first like 20 minutes were f***ed with badly.

The Marvels and Cap 4 were doomed regardless, the foundation itself wasn't strong on those movies.

I love DS2 though, the fast pace worked on that and I never felt like I was missing a part of the movie like I was doing here.

Iron Man 3 and Doctor Strange 2 are the two movies I never got the hate for and truly love.

Why would you mention budgets when it doesn't help your point? He can't elevate the $25M budget, and F4 isn't going to do spectacularly well for a budget of that size either. What's the draw?

IMO a draw gets butts in seats regardless of budgets. You calculate accordingly to what was poured into the project. Every trending celebrity is not a draw. The bar is high and only few touch it these days

I don't think there's an actor alive who could get butts in seats regardless of budget.

Galactus provides a lot of dread, but the problem is that he doesn't provide opportunities for the four to showcase their powers.

It looked cool, the archetypes are classic, and this had a great "Saturday morning cartoon" feel but I wish there was room for any character arcs other than "we have to protect this baby"

Slightly favor this over Superman. Both got caught up in their respective “uniqueness” and didn’t care too much about the action feeling fresh.

This one definitely worked but could’ve been better. CGI looked wonky asf honestly. Galactus looked like a GTA mod.
