im sure the next ones are being announced soon

I dont think Lego will release anything else XMen until after the Doomsday sets wave 1 and 2 come out.

Likely wont see a set until S3 of 97, but thats just lego.

Lego won’t have anything for awhile

But I won’t be surprised if Mondo or Hasbro puts up a Gambit made to order next year

    Watching the last two episodes

I still think it’s so fire that they used the Frank Quietly suits for X-Corp, great way to find a use for them

  • SpiderMan

I think it's gonna be a similar situation to Fantastic 4, people online think they're bigger characters than they actually are. I honestly don't think people irl care about most of these characters except for like Wolverine.

Like I saw the Doomsday trailer along with my BND screening and none of the X-Men got any response but everyone was cheering for Thor and Captain America. Marvel pivoting hard to X-Men and ignoring the characters MCU propelled from C-Tier to S-Tier is gonna be a bad move.

Also while I love Beef and Thunderbolts, Schreier needs to add more action to these movies (I'm assuming he's gonna be an architect sort of these), I think one of the reasons for F4's failure was the lack of action. These are superhero movies at the end of the day no matter how 'elevated' they are or whatever. Real stunts and cool setpieces like fighting the Hulk was a major reason BND is so successful.

Also it's just hard to get people interested into these movies anymore, specially after COVID. Spidey is ofcourse the goat and in a tier of his own but most Superhero movies have been underperforming. It's gonna be an uphill battle doing a soft reboot with new leaders in charge of MCU.
Post-Secret Wars it's gonna be like Phase 4 all over again, but I'd say yeah X-Men are bigger characters so it's not gonna be as tough to get people interested into them as some of the other characters Marvel tried to push post Endgame but I still think people here are massively overrating how much the franchise is revered outside of online fans.

    damn near feels prescient

Fantastic Four had three movies before their introduction in the MCU, and none of them were successful commercially or critically. They've never had a super popular animated show, or video game, and pretty much all of their major success has been in the comic book medium.

On the other hand, the X-Men is the 7th highest-grossing film franchise of all-time, has one of the most beloved animated shows of all-time, and has numerous successful video games as well.

As IPs, the X-Men brand is drastically more popular than the Fantastic Four brand

I feel like those last two episodes were 100% done after the full separation from Beau. I mean I don't envy the position Marvel was in, but they should've gotten someone better to write whatever they changed.

And not to say I totally disiked the episodes, but I guess for me the BIG things fell a little flat. Definitely had Captain Carter in What If Season 3 vibes if you know what I mean.

I'm still in for Season 3, but they have to make up for the lackluster ending.

I'm not gonna s*** on season 2 because I enjoyed most of it.

    The most I'll say...

This bizarre obsession with Gambit (and lesser extent Rogue) that Marvel has developed lately needs to end. It's not just in film and TV, but in the comics now too. He's cool, but he doesn't need all this spotlight they've been giving him. We really got Gambit-Apocalypse as the season finale over Onslaught...despite there being way more turmoil/trauma that Xavier dealt with throughout the season.

  • Would’ve much preferred Onslaught to what they went with, it’s whatever.

Feel comfortable in saying season one was better and that season 2 felt a bit all over the place.

I'll come back to this in 5-6 years if this site still exists or I'm free enough to still care about this stuff

So I think we'll get Special Presentations and one offs I guess?

And Daredevil will be their only continuous show?

  • Should've used that premise for Secret Invasion.

    Ugh!
