Bro why are y'all acting like Dr Doom is some obscure character
He’s not but I’m not gonna put him in the same level of popularity as Spidey
I understand their decision that’s all
I hate you 3000
☠️☠️
Kinda shocked that F4 is keeping its July date
Don't be shocked if it moves to November and Blade goes to February 2026
its me... evil tony 😈
"It's me Mr. Stark!"
"I don't even know who you are."

I mean your average person knows of Doom but don't know his background. Most people just know his image as the dude in a mask but that's about it since he's only had one s***ty portrayal on screen. He isn't like the Joker that you can just pop in a film, you gotta explain who he is. But there's no time to build him up and have people care for him like a Thanos level threat. Making him a Tony Stark variant gives him some background and gives the audience a reason to care off rip and builds hype that the MCU needs right now
People don't go to Batman and Joker movies cuz they know of the deep lore
they go to Batman and Joker movies because those are recognizable names.
The 2019 Joker movie made a f*** ton of money and it was a character study
"portraying a version of Tony Stark who transforms into Doctor Doom."
oh brother...
I guess that was false cause they said he's playing Victor Von Doom at the panel
Mahershala needs to walk out on Blade after the s*** they just pulled with Wesley ngl
Doom is well known but not as well known as Spidey, Superman, Batman etc where they can get away with casting an unproven actor. Especially with the state the MCU is in rn.
Don't forget y'all the casual viewers lasting image of Doom is probably through those two trash ass interpretations. They probably don't know how cold Doom is in the comics.
Not saying I agree with this choice completely just trying to rationalize the thought process

Exactly. You get it.

I feel like they gotta cut their losses with blade. Push it to post reboot

That's what I figured would happen but it makes more sense that they'd announce it today
"It's me Mr. Stark!"
"I don't even know who you are."

“ everyone forgot you were spider man including him “
The Thunderbolts* has to be leading into Dark Avengers because they showed a clip where they were in the Avengers tower. Val must’ve bought the tower.

Doom not on the level of recognizable Batman and Joker though imo
Yeah Dr Doom is easily the biggest villain I’ve seen fans begging for. Having it be a Tony Stark variant (I think?) just draws back in the die hard Iron Man fans who get to see him again. So it’s like we hyped Tony is back and we hyped we finally get Doom.
But I don’t think it’s a NECESSITY cus Doom getting hype regardless. I just think they tryna maximize as much as possible and go back to familiar roots being MCU been losing steam.
I also remember reading like a year ago they wanted to do the same thing with Chris Evan and bring him back as like an evil Captain America
Bro when my b**** wanted to go see Avengers Infinity War she did not know anything about no Thanos lore none of that s***.
She went cuz she wanted to see an Avengers movie
Mahershala needs to walk out on Blade after the s*** they just pulled with Wesley ngl
Yeaaaaah man idk who that joke was for lmao
They been playing around too much

These are unserious people

Yeah dudes off one if he actually thinks Doom has that kind of marketability to the general audience.
